Proposed move to Grove
The big conversation for parents and carers of children at Eastern is the proposed move to the old Grove. The proposal is now in the public consultation stage and is set to run until 22nd September 2010. A formal consultation meeting will take place on Monday 30 August 2010 at Eastern.
From speaking to people we're hearing a wide range of opinion and feelings. Many agree with the idea while some have genuine concerns. Take the time to read the official consultation document before reaching your own conclusions. Do discuss your views with others but also please share your views with the Parent Council. It doesnʼt matter what your opinion is, FOR or AGAINST, we want to hear it so that we can appreciate the overall picture first hand.
If this scheme is to go ahead the Parent Councilʼs primary concern will be to ensure that it is carried out with longevity and vision in mind and that everyones views are heard and taken into consideration.
How to join the Parent Council
With such an important issue on the agenda you may feel compelled to get more involved in the process. The Eastern Primary School Parent Council is an officially recognised organisation with the responsibility of representing the Parent Forum. To join simply come along to a Parent Council meeting or contact us for more information.
