Fundraising Events 2009/10
Thanks to everyone who helped raise money for the school during the 2009/10 session. We exceeded our target with grand total of around £10,250. This far outstrips previous year totals and is down to the broader range of events and the success of the occassional Eastern Charity Shop in the Ferry which involves the wider community. This year we were also able to take advantage of the Parent Council's charity status by claiming gift aid on sponsorship through The BIG Walk event as well as being able to accept charitable donations.
Thank you to everyone for their hard work in organising and running events and to everyone who attended or took part.
Events for 2009/10 fell under three broad categories:
1) Traditional favourites
- Scottish Evening - 19th February 2010
- Spring Fayre - 13th March 2010
- Spring Disco - 20th May 2010
2) New idea social events
- Fun Casino - 6th November 2009
3) Big projects
- School charity shop week - 31st August 2009
- The BIG Walk - 11th June 2010
